Hydrocarbon refrigerant is actually one of most refrigerants. The two main advantages of hydrocarbon refrigerants are energy saving and environmental protection; energy saving: air conditioners with hydrocarbon refrigerants save 15% to 35% of energy than those with R134 and R22. Environmental protection: Hydrocarbon refrigerants are natural substances, so they do not pollute the atmosphere, do not damage the ozone layer and have almost zero greenhouse effect.

chemical

Ammonia, Freon and hydrocarbons are widely used in compressed refrigerants.

According to chemical composition, refrigerants can be divided into five categories: inorganic compound refrigerants, Freon, saturated hydrocarbon refrigerants, unsaturated hydrocarbon refrigerants and azeotropic mixture refrigerants.

According to the condensing pressure, refrigerants can be divided into three categories: high temperature (low pressure) refrigerants, medium temperature (medium pressure) refrigerants and low temperature (high pressure) refrigerants.

Inorganic compound refrigerants

These refrigerants have been used earlier, such as ammonia (NH3), water (H2O), air, carbon dioxide (CO2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2). For inorganic compound refrigerants, the international code is R and the three numbers after it, where the first one is "7" and the last two numbers are molecular weight. Such as water R718... etc.

Freon (halocarbon refrigerant)

Freon is a generic term for all or part of chlorine (Cl), fluorine (F) and bromine (Br) derivatives in saturated hydrocarbons instead. International regulations use "R" as the code name of this type of refrigerant, such as R22... etc. Some people also call them Freon's.

Saturated hydrocarbon refrigerants

Methane, ethane, propane, butane and cyclic organic compounds are the main refrigerants in this category.

Unsaturated hydrocarbon refrigerants

These refrigerants are mainly ethylene (C2H4), propylene (C3H6) and their halogen derivatives, and the number after R is mostly "1", such as R113, R1150... etc.

High, medium and low temperature refrigerants

According to the saturation pressure Pk and the normal evaporation temperature T0 when the refrigerant condenses in the condenser at room temperature, they are generally divided into three categories.

chemical

1. Low pressure and high temperature refrigerants. It is used in the centrifugal refrigeration compressor of air-conditioning system.

2. Medium pressure and medium temperature refrigerants. Such as R717, R12, R22, etc. These refrigerants are generally used in the common single-stage compression and double-stage compression piston refrigeration compressors.

3. High pressure low temperature refrigerant. Such as R13 (CF3Cl), R14 (CF4), carbon dioxide, ethane, ethylene, etc. These refrigerants are used in the low-temperature part of the compound refrigeration device or the low-temperature device below -70℃.

Hydrocarbon refrigerants belong to the alkane group.

There are many kinds on the market, and the most representative one is HCR433B hydrocarbon refrigerant.
