Application of zeolite in production

Natural zeolite is an emerging material that is widely used in industry, agriculture and defense, and its uses are still being developed. Zeolites are used as ion exchangers, adsorbent separators, desiccants, catalysts, and cement blending materials. In the petroleum and chemical industries, it is used as catalytic cracking, hydrocracking and chemical isomerization, reforming, alkylation and disproportionation of petroleum refining; gas and liquid purification, separation and storage agent; hard water softening, desalination agent; special desiccant (drying air, nitrogen, hydrocarbons, etc.).

In the light industry for paper, synthetic rubber, plastics, resins, paint filler and quality color, etc. In national defense, space technology, ultra-vacuum technology, development of energy, electronics industry, etc., used as adsorbent separator and desiccant. In building materials industry, it is used as cement hydraulic active admixture, burned artificial light aggregate, making light and high strength plates and bricks. 

In agriculture, it is used as soil conditioner, which can play the role of fertilizer retention, water retention and pest prevention. In the livestock industry, it is used as an additive and deodorizer for feed (pigs and chickens), which can promote the growth of livestock and improve the survival rate of chicks. In environmental protection, it is used to treat waste gas and waste water, remove or recover metal ions from waste water and waste liquid, and remove radioactive pollutants from waste water.

In medicine, zeolite is used to determine the amount of nitrogen in blood and urine. Zeolite has also been developed as a health care product for anti-aging and to remove heavy metals accumulated in the body.

In production, zeolite is commonly used in the refining of granulated sugar.

Raw materials for new wall materials (aerated concrete blocks)

With the gradual withdrawal of solid clay bricks from the stage, the application ratio of new wall materials has currently reached 80% wall materials manufacturers to gangue, fly ash, ceramic granules, slag, light industrial waste, heavy construction waste, zeolite, etc. as the main material, and actively develop new wall materials.

It is often used in chemical distillation or heating experiments to prevent boiling, because the structure of zeolite has a large number of small pores, which can be used as a nucleus for bubbles to make the reaction liquid boil smoothly. It can be substituted by a plain fired porcelain tile that is cracked to the size of a grain of rice.

Zeolite as a feed additive has high safety and positive effects on improving pig growth performance and disease prevention, and with its large distribution and easy mining, it can be widely used in pig production as an efficient and low cost feed additive.

At the same time, zeolite can improve the social problems of food safety, environmental protection and animal welfare in pig production, thus making pig production more in line with the requirements of the times.
