Problems and prospects of current desulfurization technology

It can be said that China has achieved promising results in sulfur dioxide emission reduction, together with the increasing environmental protection requirements for nitrogen oxides, heavy metals and fine dust in China, the development of new skills for desulfurization has also put forward higher requirements, such as the removal of a variety of pollutants together, in order to further reduce investment and operating costs.

A. Some of the current problems of desulfurization skills

 

(1) the actual operating boiler system parameters deviate too much from the design value (such as coal deterioration, boiler leakage, flue gas temperature changes and dust concentration is too high), presenting a decline in efficiency, scaling and clogging, gypsum crystallization difficulties, can not run at full load, etc., had to carry out the transformation of the desulfurization flue gas system, the adoption of such as expanding the capacity of the slurry crystallization tank, increase the desulfurization tower or change the desulfurization agent, etc., the value is very high.

 

(2) uneven flow field dispersion at the population of the desulfurization tower, the surrounding area presents swirling reflux, resulting in ash accumulation in the population of the desulfurization tower. Especially when the population flue gas dust concentration is high, can occur serious ash accumulation problem, directly affecting the operation of the desulfurization system. In the population of the desulfurization tower properly increase the flow guide plate to ensure the uniformity of the flow field dispersion is the key to solving this problem.

 

(3) Due to the organic matter and fine dust enrichment in the slurry, the desulfurization tower bubbling severe. In addition to the elimination of causative factors, if necessary, need to increase the defoamer, each increase based on experience to determine, an increase should not be too much, too much is also easy to bubble.

 

(4) on special occupations (such as coke ovens, gas furnaces, carbon black furnaces, etc.), lead seal or withdraw bypass baffle, I think should be cautious. In fact, the failure rate of the desulfurization flue gas system and desulfurization tower absorption system is very low, even if the failure is presented, generally can be removed within 24h, the pollution of the environment is limited; but forced to stop the furnace, in the boiler restart incineration process, not only waste energy, but also may bring greater pollution. Without a bypass, there is also a risk of explosion.

About responsible enterprises, whether the bypass baffle lead seal has no impact, about irresponsible enterprises, even lead seal is useless, such as some dry, semi-dry desulfurization system, almost no spray any desulfurizer, the entire desulfurization flue gas system into the customary flue duct.

 

(5) desulfurization wastewater treatment, heavy metals, COD difficult to meet the standards, some owners simply withdrew the desulfurization wastewater treatment system, or even if built also did not run, this practice has the risk of pollution transfer.
