Research progress of domestic oil refining additives(1)

In response to some problems in the refining process and the addition of one or more fine chemical products as supplementary additives, this type of refining additives have the characteristics of targeted, convenient and flexible, can play a role in improving the catalyst as well as the refining process and equipment.

As the quality of crude oil is gradually becoming heavier and poorer, the market demand for high-quality lighter oil products is becoming more and more robust and environmental policies and regulations are becoming stricter, major refiners have increased the development and application of refinery additives to meet the changing situation.


From the perspective of the development trend in recent years, refining additives are mainly divided into crude oil pretreatment additives, refining process additives, catalyst additives, additives to regulate product components and improve quality, as well as energy-saving and environmentally friendly additives. The research progress of these common refinery additives in recent years is discussed in the paper, which will hopefully provide a reference for the future development of this field.


The chemical structure of crude oil emulsion breaker is mainly based on the block polymerization of polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene, and the new emulsion breaker is a partial modification of the chemical structure of the traditional emulsion breaker. 


The emulsion breaker GD97 produced by Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Company has good effect on crude oil from Daqing, Shengli, Lone Island and Iran. The oil-soluble emulsion breaker produced by Nanjing Petrochemical Company Limited is used in the normal reduced-pressure distillation unit of the refinery of Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company. The oil-soluble demulsifier NS-88 produced by Nanjing Petrochemical Co., Ltd. shows good desalination ability: the average desalination rate is 93.10%, and the average desalination rate of oil-soluble demulsifier is 13.53% higher than that of water-soluble demulsifier when processing the same kind of crude oil.


In recent years, as the proportion of refineries processing high-calcium crude oil has increased year by year, the development of domestic crude oil decalcifiers has received more and more attention, and most of the decalcifiers developed are a variety of additives used together in a compound. At present, the crude oil decalcifiers used in the market are mainly the series of decalcifiers developed by Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Company, FT series of decalcifiers developed by the Research Institute of Yangzi Petrochemical Company and decalcifier D and decalcifier E developed by Qilu Petrochemical Company.

2 Refining process additives

 

2.1 Corrosion Inhibitors

 

At present, the main corrosion inhibitors used in domestic refineries are Nifantine-18, 7019, 1017, etc. The SH and KG series high-efficiency corrosion inhibitors developed by Sinopec Group Corporation have been widely used; Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Company has researched and developed VAF-1 scale and corrosion inhibitor for fractionation tower bottom and heat exchanger corrosion and fouling of normal depressurization devices dealing with sulfur-containing crude oil in China; NS-1010 neutralizing and corrosion inhibitor produced by Nanjing Petrochemical Co. Ltd. has also been applied in PetroChina Jinling Branch.
